Kirkpatrick Science & Air Space Museum

The Omniplex is a cultural and educational center housing an Air Space Museum; a dozen galleries devoted to art, history and culture; an acre of outdoor gardens; and a hands-on science museum with more than 300 interactive exhibits. It also houses Oklahoma's first large-format, dome-screen theater and the state's first and only public-access planetarium, all engineering feats themselves. One exhibit is a section of the 67-mile concrete barrier that formed part of the 96-mile-long Berlin Wall. It was perhaps the only civil engineering project that shocked the world when it went up and inspired worldwide joy when it came down.

Fun Fact:In 1934, Mark Kleeden started an aircraft company in Oklahoma City. He hired pilot Wiley Post to serve as company president and agreed to put Post's name on the planes they built. The Wiley Post Biplane was run by a Ford Model "A" automobile engine. It had no wheel brakes or tail wheel. Only 13 were produced before Post died in an airplane crash.
