Gabriela Jaramillo Cordero

A high school science teacher for 15 years in Costa Rica, Gabriela says her main role in education involves mentorship, through encouraging, supporting, and guiding students in engineering projects and research. Gabriela says that teaching science in rural areas can be a challenge due to the lack of resources like science labs, which creates a gap between theory and practice. Her goal is to bridge this gap by promoting and organizing science projects and demonstrations at the institutional and classroom level.
