Welcome to Engineers Week 2024!

This year’s theme “Welcome to the Future” is about celebrating today’s achievements and paving the way for a brighter and more diverse future in engineering.

Engineers Are Shaping the Future.

Engineering is at the forefront of innovation and is instrumental in designing and creating the solutions that are shaping the world of tomorrow. From the development of the internet and smartphones to space exploration and renewable energy solutions, engineers have been at the forefront of progress, making our lives more efficient, comfortable, and connected. Through their creativity, expertise, and dedication, engineering teams are addressing global challenges, driving technological advancements, and making a positive impact on society’s future.

Students Are the Future.

Because the future holds even greater challenges and opportunities, it’s essential for educators and volunteers to engage students in engineering both during Engineers Week and year-round. By sparking curiosity and igniting their interest in engineering, we can inspire the next generation of problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and innovators. When we connect engineers and students and they do hands-on activities, we can inspire them to explore the exciting possibilities engineering has to offer.

This Engineers Week we invite you to expand how you present engineering and to create welcoming and inclusive STEM environments in K-12 schools and after-schools, colleges and universities, and the workplace. Let’s work together to break down barriers and foster a more inclusive engineering community.

Join us in welcoming aspiring engineers, technicians, and technologists from all walks of life and encouraging them to make a positive impact on the world through their innovation and creativity.

On October 25, 2023 join us for the special kickoff webinar! Hear from Engineers Week volunteers, theme experts, and the DiscoverE staff with tips on how to plan your event, free resources, and a free Welcome to the Future planning kit. Register today!
